We can only collect data if we have a legal basis to do so. In Search and Recruitment, you'll be using one of these four lawful reasons:
Legitimate Interest
Consent
Contractual Necessity
Legal Obligation
There are different processes to follow depending on which basis you are using. You need to know which one(s) your business has decided to use and how that affects the way you communicate with candidates and clients.
Special Category Data
Some types of data are more sensitive than others. These are classified as Special Category data. It includes things like ethnicity, health records, biometric data or trade union membership.
Special category data requires explicit consent from the individual for you to process it. So, it's essential that you follow your firm's process and obtain consent when you need it.
How do you record information?
